Eagles in Branson

Eagles in Branson

Yes, it is true. Many eagles nest in the Branson area from November through February. Keep your eyes open and you can see them. HarleyDad has taken some eagle pictures on Table Rock Lake near Emerald Point. Also there are some pictures taken on Lake Tanycomo.

The American Bald Eagle is a wonderful bird and it is a privilege to see them.

Eagles mate for life and return to the same nesting ground year after year. They are large and wonderful.

Look for eagles when you are in the area. Believe me it is far, far more exciting than any show on the strip.

You can even take eagle watching tours if you want to. Or you can do it HarleyDad’s way and simply keep your eyes open. Here is a link to an
eagle tour-http://www.bransonconnection.com/enviro/eagle/eagle1.htm

Above are some of my eagle pictures.
If you double click on the pictures, you can see them better!

The Majestic Steak House

Majestic Steak House
2849 Gretna Road
Branson, Mo. 65616

HarleyDad and Brokerbelle decided to try out the Majestic Steak House. It is located where Mesquite Charlie’s used to be located. We had eaten at Mesquite Charlie’s and had considered our steaks to be “Bonanza” style steaks at real steak house prices.

So it was some trepidation that we entered the Majestic Steak House. Quite frankly we were very surprised. The décor had improved immeasurably. The salads were fresh and the steaks were outstanding-perhaps the best steaks that we have gotten in Branson.

Branson has a real steak house now. The renovations are great. The Majestic Steak House is apparently related to The Majestic Steak House in Kansas City. The service was outstanding.

The prices are higher than some other places which may keep some of the bus traffic away. That is fine with us-we were looking for a real steak house and believe that we have found one.

Brokerbelle and I both had steaks and margaritas which were excellent. The tab came to about $44 which was lower than I expected.

The bar area is lovely as is the cigar room. Pictures of the restaurant are set forth above.

Brokerbelle and I will be back. We had a lovely evening at the Majestic and would recommend it.
