Just below the Table Rock Dam is Lake Taneycomo. The Lake (also known as the White River) is a great place for fly fishing. You will find it near the Chateau on the Lake.
Go to the Fish Hatchery at the foot of the Dam. There you can make your way to the River and fish using flies or artificial lures only.
Above are pictures taken Sunday afternoon of the fisherman.
One fisherman caught a large trophy size brown trout while I was there. Others would catch and throw back.
Who knows, it looked like such fun that I might go fishing there sometime, and I don't even fish.
