Surf's Up

We were in Branson last weekend. The water was up. It was very near our Condo.

Lake Taney Como had flooded at some parts damaging homes on the north side of Taneycomo in Branson.

We also drove out to Forsyth and have some startling pictures showing how high the water was.

Above are some of the pictures.

Hamner Barber Variety Show

We went to see the Hamer Barber Variety Show last night. It was great.

We all loved the magic involving the birds. Dave Hamner and his wife Denise have won numerous magic awards.

The show was interspaced with comedian and ventriloquist Jim Barber. This was not your ordinary show done with a dummy. At one point he sung opera utilizing two dummies and
and quiet frankly is in my opinion the best ventriloqist I can ever remember seeing.

All the members of our family loved the show and we would highly recommend it to you.

Branson Zoo and Aquarium

Today we were driving around and went over to Highway 13 in Branson West. Major ground work has been done on the Branson Zoo and Aquarium. Apparently, this will be a great entertainment venue containing an open visitor friendly zoo and a very large aquarium.

I believe this may be developed by the Hershend enterprises (developers of Silver Dollar City) however, I am not absolutely certain.

Check it out by visiting www.predatorworld.org/.

The aquarium is supposed to have the largest exhibit of shark species in the US. Also you can beed them yourselves.

Right now it looks like development on this site has just begun. But watch for it --it may prove to be interesting.

Wilderness in the Ozarks

The Branson Daily News reports that the Wilderness in the Ozarks is being developed in Hollister. This is a 250 million dollar development includeing 400 condos being developed around an enclosed waterpark. One of the developers is Justin Gage. The resort is located at the southeast corner of the Hollister Interchange.

If you know where Loews is--it is located behind it.

The Wilderness has a total 120 acres. There is also a commercial part of this development. It will have restaurants, a cinema and bowling that will be located near the resort.

There are also four acres of an outdoor water partk covering and a 75,000 square foot indoor waterpark. There will be a wave pool and other water rides.

It is based upon a similar waterpark in the Wisconsin Dells.

Below is a link to it. Take a look.
