New Year's Day

Well it was a great New Year's Day.

We began the morning with worshipping at The Old Stone Church, which is located in downtown Branson and which was constructed in 1910.

Then it was off to Big Cedar for New Year's Brunch. Yum. Even the racoon was dressed appropriately for lunch. See picture above.

We drove around Big Cedar.

Then we went to see the Narnia Chronicles at Branson Meadows. Wow, what a great movie.

Supper at Fudruckers.

Most of the tourists have packed up and left Branson until March.

We drove down the Strip (76) and saw some Christmas lights. Loved the Duck with lights. See picture.

Then we finally took some pictures of the Branson skyline at night. Pictures shown above.

BRANSON 2006

Welcome to 2006--

In 2006 there will be a number of changes to Branson.

Branson Landing is expected to be completed. Construction is on-going. Some pictures are set forth above. I hope you enjoy them.

As we see new developments economically, I hope that we will continue to see new developments spiritually as well.

It is my hope and prayer that Branson will continue to maintain a family influence. That it will be unashamed of God, family, the U.S.A. and honor for those who serve our country.

Despite the assaults on those values by the media, there a lot of ordinary folk that still think these things are important.

I and my family are some of them.

Winter is here. The tourists flow is now coming to a trickle. It was a great weekend to come to the Lake.

Branson Landing is coming along.

Branson Creek is putting in a new golf course honoring Payne Stewart. In addition there is a new condo area being developed and golf course called Murder Creek at Branson Creek.

The sunsets are still great here and the Bransonbelle dropped by Emerald Pointe for a visit.

Dino does angelic music.

Dino's Christmas Show

DINO'S CHRISTMAS SHOW
Tri-Lakes Christmas Center

Last night we met up with the Senior Saints from CCUMC in Joplin and accompanied them to Dino's Christmas show. Dino is the performer who is the star of the show. He and his wife Cheryl present a lovely show. There is wonderful piano playing by Dino who out- Liberace's Liberace. The costumes are lovely and the music is even better.

Dino is very personable and took time at the intermission to sign photos patiently. Dino as a young man was a pianist for the famous woman evangelist and healer, Kathryn Kuhlman.

Dino will be in Carnegie Hall around December 15.

Dino's show does emphasise Christ at Christmas and Dino makes a graphic and bold statement of the Plan of Salvation.

I would strongly recommend this show. My only difficulty with it is that I can still not get used to singing Christmas carols when it is 70 degrees outside and it is two weeks before Thanksgiving. I guess if this is the worst thing I can say, it ain't too bad.

As Dino would say: "Opah!"
