Joe's Crab Shack

Located at Branson Landing (about in the center), Joe's Crab Shack has some of the best views and food in Branson.

Come early and be prepared to wait. They don't take reservation.

Put your name on the list and shop a bit. But don't miss it.

Joe's has the unbeatable combination of good food and good location.

Just writing this blog makes me want to go back to Joe's.

Pictures are posted above.

Joe's gets 5 Little Pigs. Yep our highest recommendation. Go to Joe's.

Did I mention that you can get crabs there?

Famous Dave's

Well, is every place in Branson bad to eat. No. There are some good one's.

Famous Dave's is a new restaurant located on Branson Landing. It specializes in barbecue and everything we had there was excellent.

Prices were reasonable for what you go and the food was good.

Now they spilled tea on my mom and that is not nice; but hey you can't complain too much if the food is good. (Sorry, Mom). Now if they had spilled it on me perhaps their recommendation would not be so good.

Brokerbelle and I recommend it highly. We give it "Four Pigs" with wings.

Patriotism and Branson

In Branson, we have not forgotten our Vets.

We are proud of the military and honor the flags and the Vets who served our country.

Old fashioned values can still be found here and it is good.

This morning many of our Vets were honoring POW's and MIA's in down-town Branson.

The march was silent and black was the color. The parade was dignified and impressive in its silent march promoting honor and remembrance.

Pictures are above.

We thank all of ya'll that have served this country and purchased our freedom. You should receive an apology on how we have used this freedom however.

Taps for Southtowne Grill

We are sorry to report that taps is being blown for Southtowne Grill. The Grill, located in Hollister by Lowe's had the wonderful "Grillers." Also it was a good steak house and sports bar with live music. It is closed. Kaput. That's all she wrote and over.

The doors are closed. Next week everything is being auctioned off.

Its closure probably is noteworthy for demonstrating that you can have a decent restaurant but in a town with many tourists, it is better to have a bad place on the beaten track than a good place off the beaten track.

Tourists are not consistent customers. It is this fact that makes Branson the world home of "so-so" food.

A Visit to B T Bones

We have mentioned BT Bones as being a fine restaurant in the past. We visited again last night where it is under new managment.

We regret to say that we must withdraw our prior recommendation.

It seems that Branson is a place "Where Bad Food happens to Good People."

But Back to BT Bones.

Last night Brokerbelle had the fish. Unfortunately it was almost raw. Apparently they had not microwaved it enough. Stay away from the Pecan Encrusted Trout.

HarleyDad had the burger. It was somewhat like a handball but dryer. The french fries were safe because they were out of the box, or tasted that way.

The ice tea was $2 per glass or thereabouts.

For this wonderful meal consisting of Fried cheese, three soft drinks, a burger with fries and the raw Trout we were charged $ 38.

Go to McDonald's--the food is better and a lot cheaper to boot.
